Kansas City, MO (August 27, 2007) – Global Animal Management (GAM), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Schering-Plough Animal Health, today announced that a new version of its online data management system, TRI-MERIT, is now available. TRI-MERIT Version 2.5 has been designed to be even easier for producers and facilitators to use. It also features a number of enhancements over the original version including the ability for producers to purchase tags online and populate the numbers into their records as well as to copy processes such as health histories from one operation to another. The availability of the upgrade was announced at the National Institute of Animal Agriculture’s (NIAA) ID INFO EXPO in Kansas City, Mo.

"Just as the animal identification landscape continues to evolve, Global Animal Management continues to look for ways to upgrade our system to bring veterinarians, auction markets, distributors, dealers, beef and dairy producers the most progressive and user-friendly tools to participate in value-added programs such as age and source verification, as well as, prepare for future industry initiatives such as Country of Origin Labeling or National Animal ID." said Jim Heinle, president of GAM.

"TRI-MERIT was one of the first approved process verified program (PVP) for age and source," Heinle noted. "Version 2.5 now offers customers additional resources with thorough and complete reminders for PVP corrective actions, which includes notifications at 30, 60 and 85 days."
